Ditch the Diets and Explore Sustainable Inclusive Approaches to Wellbeing

Healthism and health propaganda is pervasive and causes misinformation and harm.  Learn about toxic diet and exercise culture and unrealistic ideals and explore how to incorporate sustainable, inclusive approaches to well-being.  Leave the presentation with resources for further study and be able to utilize all the campus and community resources to meet your well-being goals.


Objective 1:  Students will be able to explain the difference between the diet mentality and intuitive eating by utilizing the resources provided and apply to their unique situation.

Objective 2:  Students will be able to recognize weight stigma and its harm on health by listening to the presentation and engaging in a breakout discussion.

Objective 3:  Students will explore weight and diet inclusive approaches to well-being by listening to the presentation and utilizing resources provided and apply to their life.
